Slide Projector

When you have a bunch of old 35mm slides with no way to view them, (well unless you dont count using a magnifying glass), a 35mm slide projector comes in really good use. Unfortunately, these are hard to come by today and are somewhat bulky. So, this project focuses on making a small but practical slide projector.

The hardest part of this project was finding the 35mm projector lens. these are not commonly discarded, and when found they are usually in pretty bad shape. Luckily I ran into a 35mm lens and used that for the project.

Since I wanted to make this small, yet useful, I decided to use a electric outlet box for the slide projector frame. This seemed to be adaquet for what needed to go inside: a slide holder, light source and lens mount. the powersupply would be an external AC adaptor.

One of the most important things to take into account when building this project is light pollution. Yes light pollution, but instead of blocking the view of celestrial stars, this extra light would make slide viewing a bit annoying.
