Boston University Engineering Competition 2009
It's never an easy thing to make a robotic car that is entirely automatic. However, I really wanted to take such a challenge, so I decided to take part in the 2009 BU Engineering Competition. |
Before I go into detail on my project, here's the rules for the 2009 competition: |
With the rules in mind, I set off to make a 3 wheeled monster robot. I went with 3 wheels because 3 wheels can still offer stability and provide a less overall weight than a 4 wheeled machine. Next thing was to consider how and what the vehicle will be powered by. |
There's no way you can design a vehicle without first taking into account how large the motor and batteries will be, and their respective mounts. |
